Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13, 1989) is an American country pop singer-songwriter. Raised in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, Swift moved to Nashville at the age of 14 to pursue a career in country music. In 2006, she released her debut single Tim McGraw, followed by her self-titled debut album which has sold over 5.5 million copies.[4] She was nominated for Best New Artist at the 2008 Grammy Awards.
