What is up, guys?

It's your boy, Crotus Cacus, and today we've got some brand spankin' new Destiny 2 news, courtesy of the Bungie Weekly Update that has just gone live, revealing official information.

And this week, it's a big one, guys.

Bungie's going over some really important raid information, including what gear is banned for the raid tomorrow.

And so, let's get started.

Now, first things first, speaking of that raid information, Bungie has a section called, It's Crotating Time.

Yes, in less than 24 hours, we're going to be taking on the reprised Crotus End raid.

So, a couple of important reminders.

You need to be at 1790 power to beat the cap for all encounters.

And Bungie says, to give our servers some room to breathe, there will be no bounty or weapon crafting progress for combatant kills below boss tier within King's Fall and Crotus End when contest mode is enabled.

Now, moving on from there, Bungie surprisingly talks about the Necrochasm, which is the exotic weapon from the original Crotus End raid.

They're confirming that, yes, it is coming back starting tomorrow, but the way you acquire it is really, really weird.

Here's what Bungie says.

Players that acquire the Bottomless Pit quest from the raid vendor during the 48-hour contest mode period in Crotus End will have the quest automatically marked as complete and all rewards placed in their inventory immediately.

The quest does not require any currencies to purchase it.

Rewards will include the Husk of the Pit, Eidolon Ally, Fully Masterworked, and Necrochasm.

Gonna stop here for a second.

So, these three things are like the evolution of the gun.

Husk of the Pit in Destiny 1 was like the white, low-rarity, crappy version of it.

It would upgrade to the Eidolon Ally, which was a legendary weapon, and then eventually the Necrochasm, which was the exotic weapon.

Bungie continues, players will notice that they can acquire Essence of the Oversoul from completing raid encounters and triumphs.

This is required to complete the Bottomless Pit quest.

If they don't finish within the contest mode, as well as to complete the Weapon Catalyst objective for Necrochasm, during the contest mode period, players who obtain the Weapon Catalyst will not be able to progress the objective of it,

And it will statically show the objective progress at 20 out of 35 Essence of the Oversouls collected, regardless of if they collected additional Essences.

And after the contest mode ends, so after that first 48 hours, all Essence of Oversoul that the player has acquired thus far will still be respected, and the player may begin making progress on the Catalyst objective,

Continuing from the number they had previously acquired.

Players that acquire the Bottomless Pit quest after the 48-hour contest mode will have to complete the quest starting from the beginning to obtain the quest rewards.

Very weird situation.

So essentially, if you beat the raid within that contest mode, the heightened difficulty 48 hours, you just instantly complete all the questline objectives and you get the Necrochasm exotic right away,

But you won't be able to finish the Catalyst until after the 48 hours.

If you don't finish it within that 48 hours and pick up the quest after, you're gonna have to go through the whole process of getting the Husk of the Pit, upgrading it to the Eidolon Ally, upgrading it to the Necrochasm.

Honestly, for me, it makes things a little awkward, because, you know, I was planning to make a guide on how to do the quest, so if I get it right away, I mean, there's not really much of a guide on that.

So some players obviously are gonna say, oh, that's very convenient, for me, I beat early, but it is kind of weird to put everyone on this, like, different footing and have different requirements depending on when they beat it.

But, you know, again, a lot of people who do beat it are gonna be very excited that they don't just get the Necrochasm right away.

And regardless, guys, this is guaranteed.

This is a big departure from what we normally see for exotic weapons.

Stuff like the Vex Mythoclast, stuff like the Rocket Launcher from Deep Stone Crypt, those are random drops.

You can do those raids 30 times and still not get the exotic, whereas with the Necrochasm, it seems like you beat it one time and the end chest vendor for the final encounter will give out the quest and then you can just complete it and get your exotic.

So, you know, even if you have to do the whole quest line after that 48 hours, you're still probably well ahead of just randomly hoping it drops, right?

So I think this is overall a step forward.

Moving on from there, guys, we have some Bungie rewards for this raid.

So you can get this ring for completing Crota's End by 10 o'clock, basically on September 12. And then you also have this pin.

That you can see right here and that's for beating it before 10 a.m.

Reset on November 28. And then there's also going to be this like Displate metal poster and that's if you complete it before November 28. And there's also going to be a pin that you can see right here,

February 26. And of course we have the world's first raid belt right here.

Now moving on from there.

The next thing Bungie talks about is Iron Banner, but I'm actually going to skip ahead here in the TWAB and connect all the raid stuff together.

So here are the raid contest mode disables.

So they say below is the list of gear items and weapons that will be disabled during the Crotas and reprised world's first race and contest mode.

Traits and functionality of the following items will be nullified within the raid and additional negative impacts to power levels will happen if they're equipped.

So we have the tessellation exotic fuse rifle.

The brand new pre-order bonus for the final shape.

Yeah, that's disabled.

We have the warlock weave walk aspect.

That's going to be disabled.

We have the Titan banner of war aspect.

We have the foe tracer exotic hunter helmet and we have the elemental munitions mod.

So I'm going to be honest guys.

I'm really annoyed that the Titan banner of war aspect is on here.

If you guys saw I did a video on the god tier Titan banner of war build.

I love that thing.

I've been using it a ton and I was actually planning on taking it into the raid.

So it completely sucks to see it on this list like Bungie.

You introduced a brand new aspect.

It was a banger.

A bunch of builds came out of it.

Everyone was happy about it.

How are you disabling it?

Now, I'm sure there's some sort of glitch that's causing it to be absurd or broken that I don't know about.

I tend to not like to cover that kind of stuff on my channel.

So maybe that's why it has to be disabled.

But it just sucks that if that's even the case that Bungie can't playtest and QA this stuff a little bit more so we can actually use the cool new stuff in the cool new raid for the cool new season.

It all just kind of doesn't make sense to introduce all this cool stuff and then ban it immediately for the activity you want to use it in.

Rant over.

Now moving on from there guys, let's talk about Iron Banner.

So Bungie says it returns next week.

So next Tuesday and on top of having a new emblem and shader available, we have a couple of weapons from the two foundries we made official this season.

Kassoid and Nadir.

So that is actually an interesting thing.

They don't actually look different which I'm kind of disappointed in.

It's just old reskins of weapons that have new origin traits.

But yes, you can find Kassoid and Nadir origin traits now on weapons.

So first up we have the Point of the Stag from Kassoid finally returning with random rolls.

Bungie says it retains the ability to get the perks from its original fixed roll too.

And we can see right here Bungie has a little disclaimer on it.

So it's an arc precision bow.

In the left column, you can get no distractions, archer's tempo, which is very good, pugilist, select draw, elemental capacitor, and shot swap.

In the right column, you can get vorpal weapon, eye of the storm, swashbuckler, precision instrument, golden tricorn, and dragonfly.

And then the origin traits are sulking wolf, of course, the iron banner one, and wild card.

Moving on from there, they say then we've got the guiding sight, which is now strand.

And they say many of the Nadir weapons originally released in a time where there was only kinetic damage for the top slot.

So we expect to see a lot of these weapons come back as either strand or stasis in the future.

And they showcase the weapon and the perks here.

So in the left column, it's a high impact strand scout rifle, by the way.

In the left column, they have inlined action, demolitionist, moving target, tunnel vision, perpetual motion, and gut shot straight.

In the right column, hatchling, adrenaline junkie, kill clip, encore, cascade point, and precision instruments.

And then of course, they have the sulking wolf and then Nadir focus this time as the origin traits.

And then as you can see, Bungie provides the schedule for iron banners and their game modes coming within Season of the Witch.

Moving on from there, we're going to quickly cover two sections here.

First of all, Bungie is adopting turtles.

Then after that, they have a section on the cabbage error codes that people encountered originally when the season launched.

Moving on from there, they do have something interesting about stasis.

And that's because most people out there, including myself, predicted that stasis would be a featured element this season because it hasn't been featured for all of 2023.

And we were very surprised when it wasn't.

You know, there's elemental balls for every element except for stasis.

Even though, funny enough, Bungie developed snowballs for the dawning, which are basically stasis elemental balls.

Like, I guess you could just do that, right?

Regardless, guys, again, stasis has been pretty neglected for the entire year.

So Bungie actually says, for our stasis lovers out there, we have some things coming up regarding your stasis abilities in Season 23, which is next season.

Not only will the seasonal artifact feature stasis perks, but there will also be some stasis ability changes coming, including Glacial Quake, Frost Pulse, Winter's Shroud, Glacier Grenade, and more.

We will have an artifact and abilities preview with more details as we get closer to the Season 23 launch.

So, okay, stasis finally confirmed, is getting some love next season.

And again, changing up some abilities and how they work could be very, very powerful.
