  • As always, we won't recap the show, but just provide you with the good, the bad and the downright ugly.
  • As always, we start off with the good as Number 1 – World Title Tournament Last night, WWE's tournament to crown a new brand new world champion kicked off.
  • Raw featured two triple threat matches, with the winners of each respective match facing off in the main event.
  • The first triple threat featured Seth Rollins, Damian Priest and Shinsuke Nakamura.
  • This was an excellent showcase of all three men, and as expected, Rollins came out with the W. In the second triple threat of the night, Cody Rhodes, The Miz and Finn Balor collided, and Brock Lesnar made his presence felt by costing Rhodes the match,
  • Allowing Balor to get the win.
  • Then in the epic main event, Rollins defeated Balor to advance the Night of Champions premium live event.
  • Whilst a tad predictable, the in-ring action was tremendous, and there was nothing wrong with predictability if it's the right decision.
  • Number 2 – Brock Lesnar Vs. Cody Rhodes Continues As previously mentioned, Brock Lesnar cost Cody Rhodes his chance at the World Title on Raw.
  • Lesnar would F5 Rhodes through the table, before cutting a bizarre promo in which the WWE cameras went up close to Lesnar's face, evidently to highlight his battle scars from backlash.
  • Lesnar Vs. Rhodes 2 is now set for Night of Champions, and it's entirely possible that WWE adds a stipulation to the next match in the ongoing saga.
  • Number 3 – A Popular Stable Reforms It looks like The Way are officially back together as a stable.
  • During a backstage segment, Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae, Indi Hartwell and Dexter Lumis were all featured.
  • Gargano even mentioned that he is returning soon, which fans believe to be a reference to the return of Tommaso Ciampa.
  • Number 4 – Trish Vs. Becky Gets Personal Trish Stratus cut an extended heel promo on Raw last night and even mentioned Becky Lynch's daughter.
  • Lynch would then appear out of nowhere attacking Stratus, before Stratus made a lucky escape.
  • The feud between the two is getting extremely personal.
  • It's likely that the two will collide at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia.
  • It's believed that Stratus is back for a number of matches, so it's unlikely that her vs.
  • Lynch will be a one-time deal.
  • But that was the good, what about the bad?
  • It's number 1 – Confusion Over Women's Titles When Smackdown Women's Champion Rhea Ripley was drafted to Raw and Raw Women's Champion Bianca Belair was drafted to Smackdown, fans expected WWE to deliver either a title swap or introduce two brand new yet distinct titles for the women.
  • However, Ripley appeared on Raw last night with a Smackdown title and there was no mention of the fact that this was a little strange that a Smackdown exclusive title was now on Raw.
  • Surely Triple H has a plan to rectify this as it's insanely confusing.
  • This was an issue that should have been dealt with on last night's show, but WWE were more focused on building up a feud between Ripley and Natalya which fans seem less enthusiastic about.
  • Nothing on last night's Raw could be labeled as ugly, but Raw had its fair share of filler matches but that's typical for a three-hour broadcast.
  • Hopefully they pick up the pace heading into Night of Champions and the feuds such as Cody Rhodes vs.
  • Brock Lesnar and Lynch vs.
  • Stratus are taken to the next level.
  • But what did you guys think of Raw last night?
  • Let us know in the comments down below.
  • Now let's move on to the news.
  • Now
  • First story looks at WWE hosting a PLE in Australia.
  • Our top story today takes a look at the next potential international location for a WWE event.
  • WWE has hit a home run of hosting premium live events outside of the traditional cities in the US. Clash at the Castle in the UK, Elimination Chamber in Canada and Backlash in Puerto Rico were all huge successes both from a critical and financial perspective.
  • And now it looks like Australia may be the next location to host a WWE PLE.
  • According to a new report from Fightful Select, WWE officials have been in contact with their Australian representatives to gauge interest in hosting a premium live event in Australia.
  • This report comes following an initial report from the Wrestling Observer last month stating WWE were in talks with Australia to deliver a major stadium show.
  • They've hosted major events in Australia before, notably the Super Showdown event in 2018, and this show was headlined by a final encounter match between Triple H and The Undertaker, but it's worth noting that many fans felt like this event was a glorified house show.
  • Would you guys like to see WWE host a PLE in Australia?
  • Let us know in the comments down below.
  • Next up, a dream match announced for SmackDown.
  • Now WWE have announced the two well-titled tournament matches for SmackDown and one of them in particular is a certified dream match.
  • In the first Triple Threat match, Austin Theory, Sheamus and Bobby Lashley will collide, then in the second Triple Threat showdown, Edge will take on AJ Styles and Rey Mysterio.
  • The latter Triple Threat sounds insane and it's already receiving a ton of hype on social media.
  • Next up, WWE are high on Omos.
  • Omos had one of the best matches of his career this past weekend at Backlash.
  • His match with Seth Rollins was highly entertaining and it's clear that pairing Omos with talents such as Rollins and Brock Lesnar is doing wonders for his confidence as an in-ring superstar.
  • Now according to a new report from PW Insider, WWE were insanely happy with Omos with specific praise directed at his performance at Backlash.
  • Whilst most of the praise on social media is going towards Rollins, ultimately it takes two to tango and Omos' selling and movement in the match was considerably better than it was during his match at WrestleMania.
  • It's unclear what's next for the Nigerian Giant, but his strong presentation is likely to continue in the next coming months.
  • Next up, Damian Priest is now seen as a top-level player.
  • The standout match from Backlash was without a doubt the match between Damian Priest and Bad Bunny.
  • Whilst Bunny is quite rightly receiving a plethora of praise, fans are quick to realize just how pivotal Priest was in making the match a massive success.
  • PW Insiders reported that Priest received praise backstage after the Backlash event and that he has been impressing people in recent months with his work to level himself up.
  • Additionally, one source informed PW Insider that Priest is now seen as a top-level player in WWE going forward, which seems to imply that WWE now sees Priest as main event level talent.
  • This was evident by watching last night's Raw, Priest was included in the tournament to crown a new world champion and fans on social media are now placing Priest as one of the firm favorites to capture the Money in the Bank briefcase in July.
  • Next up, Brock Lesnar is invincible.
  • Brock Lesnar is one of the biggest stars in all of WWE and it seems like Lesnar is immune to rules and guidelines that apply to the rest of the locker room.
  • During a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that failed drug test sanctions don't actually apply to Lesnar.
  • Brock Lesnar did UFC, was an active wrestler, Billy Gunn wasn't even an active wrestler and Brock tested positive if it wasn't for steroids but he failed a drug test, and the response from WWE is that the drug test doesn't apply to Brock Lesnar.
  • This amazed me because I asked, I was like, hey Brock just failed a test, you know and in commissioned states, in theory he should be suspended from commissioned states that regulate wrestling because that's the rules.
  • Meltzer also revealed that if Lesnar wishes to bleed in matches, WWE aren't going to do anything to stop him.
  • If Brock Lesnar wants to do color, Brock Lesnar can do color, everybody else might get in trouble for it but he has different rules.
  • And finally, WWE have big plans for a reformed stable.
  • Our final story today takes a look at Triple H having big plans for a certain stable on Raw.
  • As mentioned in our analysis of Raw, The Way Reunited last night, now it looks like Triple H has substantial plans to feature the group in a meaningful manner.
  • According to notable Twitter account WRKD Wrestling, Triple H has big plans for the stable.
  • As promised last week, The Way have officially reunited on tonight's Raw.
  • Triple H and company have big plans for all of those involved.
  • The original stable did feature Austin Theory but he's now a resident of the Smackdown brand so it's unlikely that he'll be a member of the main roster version of the group.
  • Nevertheless, WWE certainly needed to do something with names such as Johnny Gargano as he's been in a state of limbo since making his return last summer.
  • But there you have it folks, the wildest news stories and rumors you need to know and a review of Raw.
  • Be sure to leave your comments down below and I'll see you next time with some more Wrestling content.
