  • Introduction to Video Content
  • Apex Legends Season 18 is about to kick off with the exciting Death Dynasty Collection Event. In yesterday's launch trailer and gameplay trailer, we got a sneak peek at what this event has in store for us. But that's not all, we also learned about some buffs and nerfs that the developers didn't publicize, as well as some details about Aim Assist. We'll cover all of that in this article. But let's start with the Death Dynasty Collection Event. This event will be launching on August 8th, a little earlier than expected. It is a recolor event, meaning that existing skins will be given new color variations. The image showcased in the trailers features all the legends, and we can see some of the recolors in better detail. Wraith, R99, Crypto, Havoc, Loba, and Catalyst are some of the legends who will be receiving these new recolors. While the recolors themselves are impressive, it is important to note that they are still just variations of existing skins. However, the highlight of the event is the new Heirloom for Revenant. This Heirloom not only features stunning animations but also serves as a recolor of an existing Heirloom. Some players might find the design too similar to the original to justify its purchase. In addition to the Death Dynasty Collection Event, Season 18 of Apex Legends is bringing other exciting updates. Fans can look forward to new gameplay features, buffs, and nerfs that haven't been widely discussed. We will provide more details on these changes. But what about the prizes? In this video, Thorn and Smash announced a giveaway of $45, or potentially the Red Heirloom Recolor, to lucky subscribers. To participate, viewers need to like, comment, and subscribe to their channel. So make sure to follow these instructions for a chance to win!Overall, Season 18 of Apex Legends promises an action-packed experience with the Death Dynasty Collection Event and other exciting updates. Stay tuned for more information and let's jump into today's video!

  • I smell pennies!
  • Fetch me their souls!
  • One, two, one, two!
  • Boom!
  • Hey everyone, Thorn and Smash here, and yesterday we got the brand new launch trailer and gameplay trailer for Season 18 of Apex Legends, and we also learned a ton about the Death Dynasty Collection Event and the Heirloom Recolor coming.
  • We're going to cover all that, but we're also going to cover some buffs and nerfs that you guys did not know about, and some stuff with Aim Assist that they did not go over that publicly.
  • We're also going to give out $45, actually let's just do the Red Heirloom Recolor when it drops.
  • All you gotta do is like, comment, subscribe, you guys know the drill.
  • But without further ado, let's jump into today's video.
  • So yesterday we got a ton of information about Season 18, and we're going to start off with the brand new Death Dynasty Collection Event, which will be launching a little earlier than we thought, which will be August 8th when the new season starts.
  • Now this is going to be a recolor event, as you can see from the image showcasing all the legends right here.
  • There are some other recolors that you can see in a better definition.
  • You've got the Wraith, along with the R99 Crypto with the Havoc.
  • We've got a Loba as well, and a Catalyst.
  • Now the recolors themselves I think are some of the better recolors we've seen, but it is important to note that once again, if you're going to buy this, it is going to be just recolors of existing skins.
  • You will also get an Heirloom that is a recolor of an existing one, and that is going to be for Revenant, which we've talked about before.
  • Now this actually looks, with the animations, absolutely phenomenal.
  • The actual design of it I don't think is different enough from the original Heirloom to really justify it.
  • Keep in mind, the animations, if they go with the same route they did with Wraith, will apply to the old Heirloom as well.
  • Now the animations that they do for this are once again top tier, but the Heirloom itself I don't think has enough of a differential from, you know, just the regular Heirloom.
  • During this event you will be able to get 2x XP in the Battle Royale from August 8th to the 15th, and in Mixtape from the 15th to the 22nd you will be able to get double XP as well.
  • There will also be a free reward tracker here, which has some hollow sprays, gun charms, and of course a Khaosix skin as the final reward.
  • It is important to note that there are not any free prize tracker packs in this one, which unfortunately the Imperial Guard one was actually bugged for a lot of players.
  • I still don't think that they've ever given back the packs that they said they would for those that completed it, but just something to keep in mind for this upcoming event.
  • The other big thing is this is not a half-priced event.
  • There's been nothing talked about with that whatsoever, and on the blog post it says, So this will be a full-priced event for recolors, along with that you will get an Heirloom recolor to match Revenant's new thematic design.
  • I'm kind of in the middle on this event, I don't think it's the greatest thing ever, I don't think it's horrible, I'm just kind of done with recolor events in general.
  • Along with that, there are going to be a lot of changes coming to this season.
  • The big one is, as you can see from this charge rifle clip right here, it now has to be charged up and fires a single shot.
  • It's no longer hitscan as the previous one was, and for all intents and purposes this is called Project Railgun, but we'll be keeping the name of Charge Rifle.
  • Gaming Merchant also put out a list of changes, such as the fact that the Peacekeeper will be coming with Disruptor Rifles.
  • The aim assist actually has been discussed, and we went over this in a video of mine not too long ago, and in an interview they did actually say that, along with nerfing the SMGs, aim assist and controller players are going to be experiencing some changes,
  • Not at the start of Season 18, but later on down the line, and they are going to go ahead and nerf it quite a bit.
  • We don't know if this is for controller on PC or console, but overall there are going to be changes made to that.
  • There are also massive bullet spread reduced, the SMGs all get their strafe speed reduced, and interestingly with the new Charge Rifle, the further a target is away, the more damage the bullet will do.
  • This is the opposite actually of all other guns, which I find kind of interesting.
  • The other big thing is there will be a huge change coming to ranked.
  • According to Apex Legends status, the ring damage is increased in the first circle, rings are closing faster, and there is an elimination bonus buff, plus minimum elimination bonus regardless of rank,
  • And in Diamond and above, increased LP losses means less ratting bonuses.
  • It will be interesting to see if this is a lot more effective.
  • There was one player who actually just put out that he did Rookies to Masters AFK, meaning that he would drop and then not do anything the rest of the game, and was still able to reach the second highest level in Apex Legends,
  • Which is just absurd.
  • So I don't know if these changes are enough to actually completely fix the horrible ranked system we had this season.
  • On the plus side, there will be new ranked rewards.
  • Dive trails are completely removed according to CorralRindo, and instead we will be getting banner frames, which I don't know if that's the reward we necessarily want, but at least it shows they're trying to do something a little bit different.
  • We'll have to see some more changes as we get more information on Sunday with the map rotation, but I'm thinking it's going to be Kings Canyon, Olympus, and Broken Moon.
  • Unfortunately, once again, as we've gone over many times, no Storm Point changes at the beginning of Season 18. I once again think that is going to be happening after the ALGS Championships from September 6th to September 10th.
  • Let me know down below, are you guys excited for Season 18?
  • What do you think about the Death Dynasty heirloom, and what do you think about that collection event?
  • And don't forget to check out the second channel by my editor Novelle, who does great Apex Legends content.
  • And until next time, Legends, keep slaying the outlands.
  • I'll see you out there.
