  • Limo company cancels trips for Chicago area Taylor Swift fans causing frustration. Chicago Limousine Company is facing backlash after canceling a number of reservations for the Taylor Swift concert. This is not the first time they have let their customers down at the last minute. People who had their rides canceled were disappointed, especially since the cancellations happened just hours before the show. Several individuals have received cancellation notices from Eminem Limousine, but one customer named Lourdes Morales had the unfortunate experience of being canceled on twice in six months. The first time, she didn't even receive an email. As a result of the last-minute cancellation, Lourdes had to find an alternative ride and missed an hour and a half of her daughter's wedding reception. This meant she missed her daughter and son-in-law's grand entrance and even missed seeing a pony. Luckily, Lourdes and her daughter were still able to make it to the Taylor Swift show despite the cancellation. Unfortunately, they were not the only ones who had to scramble to find a new ride. Many social media posts from other concertgoers have expressed frustration with the same issue. Amy O'Connor, a friend of Lourdes, had booked and paid for the ride months in advance and is still waiting for a refund. It seems that at least four people in the same area had similar experiences. Recent reviews of Eminem Limousine Services also show others sharing their negative encounters. This isn't the first time we have reported on issues with Eminem. In 2021, a couple reached out to us after the company was an hour late for their wedding transport. We tried to get an interview with company leaders to address these concerns, but they declined our request.
  • Subtitles section
  • Canceled rides to the Taylor Swift show as Chicago Limousine Company is in the hot seat this afternoon after canceling a number of reservations made for the Taylor Swift concert over the weekend.
  • Our Tara Molina is always investigating and found it's not the first time they've canceled on their customers last minute.
  • It was an amazing show according to the people we've heard from.
  • What wasn't amazing?
  • The rides that were canceled within hours of the show.
  • And we found it wasn't the first time.
  • So far, we've heard from several people who received this cancellation letter from Eminem Limousine ahead of the Taylor Swift show.
  • But Lourdes Morales stands out because she's dealt with the same cancellation from the same company twice in six months, except the first time she didn't get an email.
  • And the very last minute cancellation meant finding a new ride and missing an hour and a half of her daughter's wedding reception.
  • I missed my daughter and her husband walking into the venue for the first time.
  • I missed the pony.
  • Thankfully, she and her daughter made it to the Taylor Swift show despite Eminem Limousine's cancellation.
  • But they weren't the only ones forced to find a new ride.
  • She's seen several social media posts from other concert goers who dealt with the exact same thing.
  • Her friend Amy O'Connor is the one who booked and paid in full for the ride months in advance.
  • She's still waiting on a refund.
  • Four people just in my area had a bad experience.
  • New reviews show others in the same boat.
  • And we've told you about Eminem in the past.
  • Back in 2021, a couple reached out to us after the company was an hour late for their wedding transport.
  • Of course, we reached Eminem Limousine Services with all of the concerns we've heard.
  • Company leaders declined our interview request.
  • But a vice president sent a statement saying in part, quote, we sincerely apologize for the recent disruptions and cancellations of our transportation services.
  • The main issue stemmed from a malfunction in our P.U.S. system, which we are actively investigating.
  • This malfunction resulted in our system not properly stopping bookings when we reached capacity.
  • But that's not what they told Amy.
  • They said, well, the limo's in the shop.
  • It's not ready.
  • I don't want this to happen to other people.
  • I don't think they should be in business if they can't continually do this.
  • You can find Eminem's full statement and all of our past coverage when you head to the story that's up on our website right now.
  • Reporting outside Soldier Field, I'm Tara Molina, CBS 2 News.
