  • Introduction to Video Content
  • In a recent development, a suspected mail thief has finally been arrested after years of allegedly stealing people's mail. This apprehension was made possible due to the reporting seen on CBS 2 by their viewers. The suspect, identified as Khalia Blank, was reportedly using a postal master key to gain access to mailboxes and had been stealing countless pieces of mail, even going as far as committing identity theft. The incident came to light when surveillance footage from a Bucktown condo captured the suspect entering the building with the stolen key and stealing everyone's mail. One of the victims, Kristen Graff, stated that losing a package was just the tip of the iceberg, as she and others in the building constantly feared fraudulent activities. She revealed that one neighbor had their identity stolen, resulting in the freezing of their accounts for several months. The U.S. Postal inspector eventually made the arrest after more than a year of investigation. Khalia Blank now faces charges of burglary, residential burglary, possession of burglary tools, and identity theft. The suspect was identified as the same individual seen in the CBS report from 2022. The victims hope that this arrest will serve as a lesson to the suspect and that she will turn her life around.

  • There is this woman who actually walked into our building with a mail postal key master key and stole everyone's mail from their mailbox.

  • In fact, she tells me one neighbor did have their identity stolen from this crime.
  • There was an attempt made to open a line of credit, and they had to freeze their account for a duration of months, which means, you know, that's hard to deal with.

  • After more than a year, there's word the U. S. Postal inspector made in the rest.

  • But there's one thing the postal inspector never answered and blanks case or the others.
  • How did she get this U. S. Postal master key to be able to access buildings?
  • And the fact that she's done it for that long, how many people are families and she implicate and having their identities stolen now, despite committing a federal crime, blank is charged with state charges.
